Specialist Resourced Provision (SRP)  SEND Teacher 

Required – September 2025 or sooner

Main/Upper Pay Scale - Plus SEND Allowance in the range of £2,679-£5,285

We are seeking to appoint a knowledgeable and enthusiastic SEN SRP Lead Teacher to work within our Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) for pupils with Speech, Language & Communication needs including Autism. You will teach a class of up to 8 pupils who have a range of identified special educational needs.

Our KS1 SRP opened in September 2023 and we now have approval to open a KS2 SRP. Therefore, we are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced SEND teacher to lead and develop our provision within Oakthorpe. We welcome new ideas and expertise to continue to build on what we have already established.

We are looking for skilled teacher with:

  • Proven skills of teaching pupils with special educational needs and of delivering a personalised curriculum either in special school or mainstream
  • Understanding of teaching Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 children with some successful abilities in coordinating and managing staff
  • Knowledge of, or skills in using specialist communication systems e.g. Makaton, PECs etc
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with children, staff and parents
  • A commitment and passion for inclusive education along with the ability to use multiple strategies to maximise achievement and effectively manage a variety of challenging behaviours

 Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant - Oakthorpe Primary

Required: As Soon as possible    

Hours: 1hr 15 mins per day as required

Contract: Relief (as and when required)

Hourly Rate: £16.56 (Scale 2)

Role Profile

We are seeking to appoint a caring and patient person who is able to contribute to providing a happy and safe lunchtime environment for our pupils. We are a warm and welcoming school with polite, enthusiastic and well-behaved pupils.

The role is suitable for those who genuinely have a passion for working with children and who are able to work during our lunchtime, covering staff on a daily or weekly basis when the need arises.

Applicants will have previous experience of working with young people.

You will

  • be a calm, patient and friendly person
  • be able to communicate well with children
  • be able to organise games and activities
  • have a caring nature
  • be a good team player
  • be physically able to help set up and clear away the lunch hall tables
